It has been a busy week here at Bridge Farm and our finds team have been working hard to clean, sort and record our huge volume of finds. Great progress has been made to identify our metal finds and to assign dates to some of the features we have been excavating. There is still plenty of work here for volunteers who prefer to work in finds and on archaeological material- it is quite exciting to reveal the patterns on pottery sherds and to try and and reassemble some of the larger pieces.
