It is with sadness that we heard of the death of our collegue and long term CAP supporter David Lea.
David, like many of us at CAP, gained an MA in Field Archaeology at Sussex University as a mature student. A regular at many local archaeological projects, he dug with us at both Culver and Bridge Farm. Many will remember the cheery way he dealt with the excavation of the large waterlogged pit at Bridge Farm in 2014, smiling throughout despite the constantly rising water and drone of the generator and pumps. An unassuming character who invariably had a smile on his face and a friendly word for all.
He will be missed by those of us who knew him and dug with him.
