Today we finally drew the last sections of the year and gathered together the paper site records to be taken off site for scanning, preparing sreadsheets and genrerally sorting and scrutinising through the winter.
The deep excavations remaining open have been lined with plastic sheet and boarded over ready to be covered with further large builder's plastic sheeting for pretection and weed provention.
Monday will see the arrival of the mechanical digger to fill in the western part of the trench and extend a further area north east for investigation next June/July.

Most of the hand tools have been cleaned and neatly stacked and the other site equipment gathered together ready for storing.
